One of the biggest powerhouses in the Marvel Universe is taking over for Peter Parker's next demonic encounter.
Amazing Spider-Man #66 finds Peter Parker reeling from his experience walking side-by-side with the Marvel Universe's current Death, former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Phil Coulson. Emotionally shattered and deeply enveloped in a profound sense of nihilism, Peter is no longer willing to continue fighting the good fight as Spider-Man now that he has seen exactly what all of his efforts amount to. That being said, someone still needs to stand strong in the face of the remaining Scions of Cyttorak, and the Juggernaut is more than willing to do just that where Spider-Man won't.

The emotionally stunted stepbrother of Charles Xavier, Cain Marko, better known as the Juggernaut, was consistently demeaned and abused by his father, whereas the future Professor X was given every opportunity to succeed. This drove Cain to destroy their father's lab, ultimately leading the death of the elder Doctor Xavier, as well as the revelation that his stepbrother was something more than mere mortal. In the years that followed, Charles went on to become one of the most prominent figures in his field, all while Cain's anger and resentment fomented into a deep-seated rage that would be the predominant motivator for his actions for decades to come.
It was during their time stationed in Korea together during their military service when Cain and Charles stumbled upon a hidden ancient temple erected in the name of the malevolent entity known as Cyttorak. By claiming the brilliant red gem housed within, Cain inadvertently bridged the gap between himself and Cyttorak, ultimately giving rise to his time as the unstoppable Juggernaut courtesy of the impossible strength imbued within him by his new patron god. This kicked off a decades-long career as a supervillain, though the Juggernaut has slowly come around to the other side of the fight as a whole.
Spider-Man's ongoing gauntlet against the fabled Scions of Cyttorak was a mission thrust upon him by none other than the current Sorcerer Supreme of Earth - Doctor Doom. Though these challenges would normally be faced by the Sorcerer Supreme themselves, the fact that the mantle no longer belongs to Doctor Strange also means that Doom was free to make whatever choice he saw fit in terms of selecting a champion. Since then, Spider-Man has fought, died, and been resurrected numerous times over, all thanks to the mystical armor and acouterments he was given leading up to Marvel's "Eight Deaths of Spider-Man" event. Unfortunately, Peter's latest encounter with one of the Scions of Cyttorak was more than even he could handle, despite never having to throw a punch at any point during the confrontation.
